Construction Continues At 83-Story Panorama Tower

Crews have been working on a massive podium for Panorama Tower, but it appears to be slightly different than renderings put out by the developer.

Renderings had shown a curved facade on Brickell Bay Drive, with a podium that is about 20 stories high. The shell seems to have more angles than shown on the renderings, however.

You can keep track of construction by checking a new webcam recently installed by the developer, allowing a live view of the construction site from multiple angles.

When completed, the tower will be the tallest in Florida, with lights from the Bahamas visible from the upper floors.

Project specs:

83 stories
821 luxury rental apartments
208 hotel rooms
100,000 square feet of medically-oriented office space
50,000 square feet of high-end retail space.

FYI: The hotel portion of the podium adjacent to Brickell Bay Dr has not been constructed yet…

They are likely phasing the construction. They are building the parking podium first so that they can start work on the tower floors as soon as possible. And when they start the tower they will probably go back and start the addition to the parking podium which are all the units.
That’s what it looks like to me

Also looking at it even closer I’m even more sure I’m correct as the area where the balconies should be is currently being used as a staging area for the trucks etc. It may take them a while to get back to that last piece.

I was hoping this too. That the units might be built into the outside of this later.

It merely looks like the concrete bones, and all the curvy hardware will be installed later.

Same developer who built the Omni. Enough said………..

If the Omni International Mall of Miami was built today, it would be called “Brickell City Centre.” Considering the area had a fraction of residents it does today to support upscale retail, the Omni was ahead of its time.

They have to finish that parking podium so they can move all those cars from the Villa Magna lot and get to building the new tallest tower (990ft) at 1201 Brickell Bay. Direct waterfront is still selling remarkably well even with the strong dollar and the developers know it.

I noticed that right away in the pics and cam view. It looks like a cheapening/downsizing if anything now not going to have balconies (or windows) the whole way along BB Drive on the pedestal.

If the design is changing, i sure hope that they build it taller. Thatd be so nice. Especially if hollo builds it at 1000′ +
