Construction Continues At Mana’s Nikola Tesla Innovation Hub In Downtown Miami

Photos taken this month show that there is construction progress at the Nikola Tesla Innovation Hub being built by Moishe Mana in downtown Miami.

The project includes renovation of a 13-story office building at 155 South Miami Avenue, formerly the City National Bank building.

A Notice of Commencement to begin work was filed on January 26, and a renovation permit from Miami’s Building Department has been issued.

According to the permit, 150,000 square feet will be renovated at a cost of $14.9 million.

The 13-story office building will house the Miami International University of Art and Design, with another five floors on the lower levels for a startup hub, Mana previously said.

Telesco Construction is the contractor.

Something is really better than absolutely nothing…

Renovation is NOT construction… per se. 😉 😉

In your eyes Mana can’t do anything right.

It was a existing office building already, he just renovated like all office buildings go under renovations and added more windows. His other properties are still empty

His marketing team is hilarious. YES…this is an old building that requires updating. There have been several owners that have bought on Flagler and have spent money to upgrade buildings. They didn’t have such a clever name for their buildings (Museum Tower, Courthouse Tower are two very nice buildings that have been updated to great expense). Somehow, these endeavors don’t get many press releases.

Downtown could flourish if Mana really activated all his properties.

That’s like a drop in the water for all that Mana owns in Miami. He better step it up or step aside.

Yeah yeah Mana sucks but this is honestly a nice project

He’s proposing to turn an ugly old box into an uglier one that will age worse. He’ll stop construction, as in the net and some scaffolding, blame it on DeSantis, and the site will be covered in graffiti.

About time he has some movement. Now we would like to see him build something from the ground. What’s the status on the Community center in Wynwood? And I hope this looks like the renderings, once done.

Not the most innovative design for an innovation hub, but I’ll take it

So how does Tesla figure into all of this?

Long MIA

If you’re talking about Tesla, as in Elon’s Tesla, it doesn’t figure into any of this.

Nikola Tesla. Designer, engineer, worked on AC current. Lab up in Niagara. But still. Most of the building will be used up by the Miami University of Art. No connection.

While Elon Musk has earned his right to associate with the man who basically invented AC current, that $100/SF office renovation project falls short of same in so many ways…

Mana is about 4ft 9inches tall with very small hands and very small feet.
Bless him for living the American Dream, and bless him for providing moving trucks and services for which people pay. Bless him for buying buildings, and I hope that he does well to deliver the promise and ambition that his Public Relations agents tell him that he should have.

So this site is covering renovations now? Really reaching for excitement. Let us know when the neighborhood publix gets a new roof as well.

Actually mana brings in downtown university and startup hub. Not a casino.

Yeah.. Mana wants people like you to get excited about boring stuff and make it look like he’s doing something. So we’ll continue to get ho-hum things like a Ferris Wheel in Miami to pacify us while the Miccosukee Indians in Broward keep dazzling tourist with their hotel casino.
