Construction Milestone At Brickell’s Panorama Tower, Set To Become Tallest In Florida

The parking garage at what will become Florida’s tallest tower is now open, and the rest of the building is going vertical.

Florida East Coast Realty recently obtained a temporary certificate of occupancy for 11 stories of the 19-floor, 2,000-space garage at the 830-foot Panorama Tower in Brickell, according to a press release from developer Florida East Coast Realty.

The developer had been temporarily using the Villa Magna site as parking for the 1101 Brickell office building during construction. The opening of the garage could free up that land, where FECR plans an even taller tower at 1,049-feet.

When completed, the 83-story Panorama Tower will be (at least temporarily) the tallest residential building south of New York. It will include 821 rental units, 208 hotel rooms, 100,000 square feet of medical office space, and 50,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

If they were all built we would pass Chicago with 6 1000+ ft. towers!

It is likely that most new projects from now on in downtown/Brickell will be at or over 1000ft due to the decreasing amount of land left available and the crazy prices they all paid for the land in 2014/2015 in the Brickell land boom. Just like how all buildings in Edgewater and Omni will probably reach for the maximum 600-649ft in that area.

One biscayne, as well as the old empire world site right? And I think the epic2- site has unlimited height restriction.

Correct, the old empire world site would be the tower PMG is spearheading to built there that will tower at 1049 feet. Right next to it will go the World trade center of the Americas which I believe would reach 900-950 feet or so. But there is limited height restrictions in that area. 1049 ft max.

When all is done there should be about 7 or 8 towers that have been planned or on their way ranging from 900 feet -1049 feet.

And probably more will come in the near future.

Are there any renderings of the interior? I don’t think I’ve ever seen them.
