Construction Permit Application Submitted For 872 Units At 1900 Biscayne

The developer of the twin-tower 1900 Biscayne (also known as Edgewater Collective) has submitted an application for a construction permit.

According to the July 12 filing, 1900 Biscayne will include 872 multifamily condo units.

The top off at height is listed at 42 floors, or 465 feet.

Hard construction cost is estimated at $245,221,726.

Review by Miami building officials is not yet underway, since the full plans have not yet been filed.

Developer Kushner Companies completed the purchase of 1900 Biscayne in January, with plans to build the twin-tower project.

Demolition at the site was completed in June, after a demolition permit was issued in late April.

Kushner is also building a 393-unit apartment tower across the street at 2000 Biscayne, with vertical construction now underway.

The combined number of residential units Kushner is developing at at 1900 and 2000 Biscayne is 1,265.

Biscayne is getting more and more residential so it’s time to time those traffic lights accordingly.

What major U.S. Highway and evacuation route have you ever seen with speed bumps?

I’ve been following the construction of 2000 Biscayne from my balcony. I’m so glad to see these buildings come on line in my immediate vicinity. We really need a critical mass of people to support existing businesses and to draw new businesses to the area.

Be careful what you wish for. The building comes up behind 1800 club and you will lose your view.

About time this part of biscayne gets new tower, I wonder what is taking Melo so long to start their development on that massive empty lot across the street.

Fantastic. This three-tower complex alone, with 1265 apartments, is already larger than many cities around the world.

I love the density, hopefully that translates into pedestrians! I drove by Midtown a few weeks ago and it was a pleasant day and I felt like it was devoid of people.

Nothing less than game-changing. Some might say iconic. This is the type of mediocrity that soars to new heights.

This is probably someone for whom English is a second language. We shouldn’t shame them for making mistakes. We should be grateful they’re learning and using the language. In how many languages are YOU able to write?

That’s right. I’m Brazilian, I have an apartment in São Paulo and Miami. I have a university degree, but I don’t work with the English language, so I don’t speak English fluently. I always make comments on this site, sometimes spelled correctly, sometimes not. I think the important thing is the content.

Nobody hates Trümp and his ilk more than I do, trust me. But even I’m glad to see this development. Frankly, I don’t give a fuck who develops what, as long as Miami keeps growing.
