Construction Underway On Quarters Wynwood Co-Living Project With 217 Beds

Construction is now underway on a new co-living building called Quarters Wynwood.

A $29 million construction loan was issued to developers Related Group and W5 Group, according to the SFBJ.

County records show that a Notice of Commencement was filed in November 2021 stating that construction was getting underway.

A construction permit was issued in October.

According to the permit, Quarters Wynwood will include:

  • 63 multi-family units on levels 2-8
  • 3,852 square feet of retail on the first floor

In total, there will be 217 fully furnished co-living beds, along with amenity space.

Quarters, a Berlin-based co-living company with plans for 3,000 beds worldwide, will manage the property.

Arquitectonica is the architect.

The Rinaldi Group of Florida is the contractor.

It’s a glorified boarding house. You must be young or unaware of the many housing types that existed before single-family homes and white picket fences for all mentality.

$2500/mo there better be tons of glory…. do you not understand that money gets far far nicer 1 bedrooms in great South Florida neighborhoods where you don’t have to share a bathroom with Pervis the guy next door?

Choc.

The added density is always welcome.

What is the point of density and expanded options if rent remains completely unaffordable. It’s not like the added supply helps the people in this city gain access to housing. F*** density for the sake of density. This city is turning into a nightmare.

Only to people who can’t afford the “added supply” is this city “turning into a nightmare.” That’s the thing when it comes to the United States of America.. if you don’t the city, county, or state you currently live in, you always have the freedom to move to another city, county, or state.

….. as are Dania, Hollywood, and unincorporated South Dade. Some people have never heard of “drive until you qualify”, they just wanna whine that they can’t afford to live in Brickell on 60k/yr. Some insist on living in Brickell even when their 60k/yr job is located in Doral or Miramar. These people are called Masochists.

As far as super-tight living goes, this is great looking. It has windows. Im glad no one is duplicating Charlie Munger’s experiments in communal living.

The windows line up too, unlike Arquitectonica’s surrounding atrocities.
