Crescent Heights is proposing to build a 24-story tower above a transit hub at 500 Alton Road, according to the Herald.
The developer has approval to build a six-story residential project, but has been trying for years to build taller. In 2014, the developer partnered with Related Group on a proposal to build a 50-story tower there, but scrapped the idea after it was opposed by the mayor.
In exchange for being granted a height increase from 75 feet to 300 feet, the developer would build a 30,000 square foot, six-story transit hub for the city. Three levels would be dedicated towards buses, with another three levels for light rail.
