New renderings of a second tower planned at the Nema complex in the Edgewater and Midtown Miami area have appeared on the website of developer Crescent Heights.
The second tower will have 400 residential units, 71,540 square feet of office, 11,100 square feet of retail and a 32,450 square foot fitness club, according to plat documents filed with Miami-Dade.
As of now though, only the first Nema tower has been submitted to Miami’s Planning Department for review.
A deal for water and sewer utilities signed with Miami-Dade in July also only appears to be for the first tower.
According to the utilities agreement, the first tower will have 428 apartments, 48,590 square feet of retail, and 1,915 square feet of office.
A nationally known organic supermarket chain has signed a lease for the ground floor retail space at the tower.
A construction permit appears to have been filed for earlier this month, but the actual plans have not yet been submitted to the Building Department.
Arquitectonica is the architect.
