Crescent Heights Submits Plans To Build 38-Story Nema Tower With Ground Floor Supermarket In Edgewater/Midtown Area

The Edgewater and Midtown Miami could soon have a new residential tower with a ground floor grocery.

The supermarket will be 38,950 square feet, plans show. An indoor seating area for the supermarket will be located on a mezzanine level above the store.

Above the supermarket will be a parking garage and a 38-story, 430-foot apartment tower.

There will be a total of 588 residential units, including liner units in the podium.

The parking garage will have a total of 748 spaces, with 195 of those spaces devoted to supermarket customers. That leaves 553 spaces for the residences.

A green wall is one of the ways that the garage will be covered, along with metal fins, an artistic mural, and glass.

Arquitectonica is the architect.

A demolition permit and tree permit for the property have already been filed for.

Miami’s Urban Development Review Board will have a hearing on the project October 21.

The design kind of resembles their “Beach House 8.” It’s also nice how they’ve hidden the podium from Biscayne.

This was on the Miami Herald a couple of months ago. They had a snag in trying to get it approved. This might be that tower. The snag had something to deal with closing off a little side alley.

Only people doing stores that big are Whole Foods, Sprouts or Publix. Praying for something other than Club Publix!
