The Edgewater and Midtown Miami could soon have a new residential tower with a ground floor grocery.
The supermarket will be 38,950 square feet, plans show. An indoor seating area for the supermarket will be located on a mezzanine level above the store.
Above the supermarket will be a parking garage and a 38-story, 430-foot apartment tower.
There will be a total of 588 residential units, including liner units in the podium.
The parking garage will have a total of 748 spaces, with 195 of those spaces devoted to supermarket customers. That leaves 553 spaces for the residences.
A green wall is one of the ways that the garage will be covered, along with metal fins, an artistic mural, and glass.
Arquitectonica is the architect.
A demolition permit and tree permit for the property have already been filed for.
Miami’s Urban Development Review Board will have a hearing on the project October 21.
