Last Letter From Zaha: ‘Delighted’ With Progress At One Thousand Museum

Zaha Hadid drove past the One Thousand Museum construction site days before her death and liked what she saw.

In a March 26 letter to developer Gregg Covin, Hadid wrote that she was pleased with the project, and delighted that it had reached the ninth floor.

Hadid previously said that One Thousand Museum was “a present” from her, and that her firm had cut their commission to have a chance to add to Miami’s skyline.

The developers of One Thousand Museum are planning a moment of silence onsite at 8:08 am Wednesday morning to coincide with her funeral prayer time in London.
