Demolition Nearly Complete At 57-Story Casa Bella Site, Foundation Permit Pending

Demolition of a 3-story office building and parking garage at the Casa Bella site is now nearly complete.

A foundation permit has also now been applied for.

Related Group and Alta Developers are planning a 57-story residential condo tower called Casa Bella by B&B Italia. Eventually, three towers are planned on the property.

A permit for vertical construction of the 312-unit Casa Bella tower was applied for in September.

The foundation permit was applied for on April 4, and is now in review.

The issued demolition permit lists a total of 249,978 square feet being demolished, at an estimated cost of $800,000.

The BG Group is the demolition contractor.

Coastal Construction is listed as the contractor on the new construction permits.

Looking forward to this one and the gap that it’s slowly closing between downtown and Edgewater.

Wont really close it because Melody is already there. We need more buildings east of Biscayne blvd

East of Biscayne is public space and the Herald lot. There won’t be any towers anytime soon.

It’s not like this tower has to conceal Melo’s worst towers, like Okan has to with Downtown 5th.

That gap being closed with the new bridge and the hopefully soon to be built lot next to it will make the skyline look more complete.

This project and other will help fill the gaping hole by the Signature bridge. Whatever is built in the Herald site will have an amazing backdrop!

It’s far better than Baccarat Residences, especially considering a less commanding location, but still another meh by Arquitectonica.

funny seeing all the manhattanites that relocated less than a year ago call arquitectónica designs “meh” when they came from a copy-paste blocky new york apartment with close to no amenities and cold, gray design
