Demolition Nearly Complete At Naftali Miami Worldcenter Site, Where 65-Story Tower Planned

Demolition is now nearly complete at the Miami Worldcenter property where developer Naftali Group plans a 65-story tower, according to photos by Ryan RC Rea.

The demolition permit was issued on May 17.

According to the filing, a 26,946 square foot building is being totally demolished, at an estimated cost of $80,000.

The BG Group is listed as the demolition contractor.

The building being demolished formerly served as a sales center for the completed 60-story Paramount Miami Worldcenter.

In April, Miami’s Urban Development Review Board, voted 6-1 to recommend approval of the new 65-story tower to replace the sales center about to be demolished.

The new Arquitectonica-designed tower will include:

  • 786 residential units
  • 3,611 square feet of retail
  • 591 parking spaces in an 8-story garage

I wonder if they are waiting because the want to put a highrise there instead of another amenity podium🤔

A highrise has always been in the plans for that lot – it’s featured in almost every MWC rendering. An office tower is planned – though given the current office market I dont think thats happening any time soon.

Beautiful tower. Perfect complement for Zaha Hadid’s 1000 Museum. Really loving the towers coming to Park West. Excited to see this one and Legacy rise.

There’s literally zero architectural significance on this building. Only concrete slabs with glass balconies.
