Demolition is now nearly complete at the Miami Worldcenter property where developer Naftali Group plans a 65-story tower, according to photos by Ryan RC Rea.
The demolition permit was issued on May 17.
According to the filing, a 26,946 square foot building is being totally demolished, at an estimated cost of $80,000.
The BG Group is listed as the demolition contractor.
The building being demolished formerly served as a sales center for the completed 60-story Paramount Miami Worldcenter.
In April, Miami’s Urban Development Review Board, voted 6-1 to recommend approval of the new 65-story tower to replace the sales center about to be demolished.
The new Arquitectonica-designed tower will include:
- 786 residential units
- 3,611 square feet of retail
- 591 parking spaces in an 8-story garage
