Demolition Permits Approved At 44-Story West Eleventh Residences

Three separate demolition permits have just been approved in Park West to clear the site where a 44-story tower called West Eleventh Residences is planned.

The demolition permits are for buildings at:

  • 18 NW 11 Street (approved April 20)
  • 34 NW 11 Street (approved April 4)
  • 38 NW 11 Street (approved April 4)

County records show the buildings are zoned for warehouse use and date back as far as 1920. The demolition category in Building Department records as listed as “city unsafe demo total.”

West Eleventh Residences is planned to include 639 residential condo units (allowing short-term rentals), along with a 30,000 square foot tri-level “experiential” entertainment and food hall.

The tower is planned to rise 482 feet above ground, or 493 feet above sea level.

Sorry I don’t see how a flower arch is iconic, but this whale sculpture looks stunning.

Are there height restrictions here ? This is relatively short for the area, no? Seems like untapped potential but still really excited for this project – Park West will be incredible.

It’s perfect like that. We don’t necessarily need more. #lessismore

Agree, prefer shorter buildings with dynamic streetscapes like this, over tall buildings with unengaging streetscapes.

This area will be so hot, I love all 3 eleven towers, I wonder what else will be announced here. So far it’s great!

It’s a box with a decent street level. Take it easy.

I any of you guys are going to complain about the creative work of public art, do it here. 🤦‍♂️

Actually, this should be what constitutes “art in public places” for development incentives, and not pukey murals like on CitizenM or SLS Lux in Brickell, or a piece of scrap metal. I especially love the green wall on the side of the historic warehouse.

Those Brickell murals are iconic and people line up to take photos in front of them. It’s okay to have different types of art. It’s subjective.
