Work on clearing a 3-acre Sunny Isles site to prepare for construction of the 308-unit Residences By Armani Casa condo tower in Sunny Isles is now underway.
To celebrate, the developers recently held a demolition party attended by over 400 guests, according to Metrocitizen. Conversions of reservations into contracts has also commenced, the web site said.
Records show that the developers have been acquiring units from individual condo owners in the now-demolished building on the site, and that they had been engaged in litigation which delayed the project. Condo documents for the new project have not been filed yet.
The project consists of a 56-story, 640-foot tower designed by architect Cesar Pelli, with interiors by Armani Casa. Sales are said to be strong.
