A mixed-use Design District building has been cancelled, and will be replaced with a condo building.
Craig Robins told Curbed that the 14-story tower known as the Sweetbird Hotel won’t be built. The proposal had been designed by architects Carlos Ferrater and Borja Ferrater of OAB in Barcelona.
A hotel is still planned to be built to the north of the new condo building. The condo building is being designed by Jeanne Gang.
