Dewatering Wells Approved For Construction Site Of 80-Story Cipriani Residences Site In Brickell

Miami Dade’s DERM has issued an approval letter for dewatering wells at the Cipriani Residences construction site in Brickell.

The March 30 approval letter says that four temporary dewatering wells are permitted.

The dewatering wells are typically used during the construction project.

A tree tower was recently issued by Miami’s Building Department for the property, but another is still under review. A foundation permit and the main permit for vertical construction are also still in review.

Moss & Associates is listed as the contractor on the foundation permit.

The megaproject planned for the property includes a total of three towers. The tallest will be the 80-story Cipriani Residences, at 940 feet above ground, or 950 feet above sea level.

There will also be two rental apartment towers rising 50 and 60 stories. All three towers will rise simultaneously.

In total, 1,300 residential units are planned between the three towers.

This is the first development in that area of Brickell since Echo and is in one of the most desirable part of the CBD. This project will hopefully be the catalyst for more development to the south.

This is no where near the CBD north of Miami River in downtown. The southern part of Brickell is not zoned for mixed use and retail projects, like the booming western part of Brickell. It’s more quiet and residential.

It’s on the boundary. Frankly, I wish it were two twin towers of the tallest, rather than three, with two being cereal boxes.

Tell that to the Novecento, Puerto Madero, Obba, Gyu Kaku And all of the other countless establishments in the area.

Luxury condo high rise in Brickell, groundbreaking — yawn.

And we need lots more where that came from! Let’s keep building.

Yes we know you’re entitled to affordable housing in Brickell, but build in Overtown with direct transit access to Brickell, and that that’s the g-word!

Spot on. Haters getting priced out of Brickell always gonna hate.

I do love this project and want to see it successfully rise. It’s such a nice area already. Hopefully it elevates greater Miami too. Beautiful design and Cipriano is one of the best in NYC and world, glad it’s rising in Brickell 🏙️

they will loose all their views once the Cervera office gets developed into a similar tower

*Yawn* Dumb comment. Everyone buying in a dense area understands this. They also understand that they won’t lose all their views, just that their view will be more of a city-scape view than a wide open space.

Unless they build a concrete wall in front like 830 Brickell next to SLS Lux.

There should be another metromover station to support this.

It is literally located across the street from a metro mover station. Where would you propose another one be added?

The shaft to his building’s elevator.

More importantly, getting the Brickell loop engineered to take multiple cars at a time would be great. Someone here mentioned that the bridge over the River isn’t engineered for that weight, so that’s something to work on.

Metromover needs to go to Miami Beach, Miami and Marlins Stadium first. (The Triple “M’s” of the Miami Metro Mover extension movement).

Miami Beach, Midtown and Marlins Stadium [correction]

Shouldn’t it be the Metrorail extension as opposed to the smaller capacity Metromover.

There will be a fee for both eventually. It’s NOT about the money .

It depends on where you want to go. If you want to circulate through Brickell, Downtown, and eventually up North Miami Avenue, Metromover will be your public transport option. I can’t see Metrorail being added further east through those areas during any reasonable planning horizon.

Either way. Both go to Brickell and Downtown. The metro mover seems quieter and looks more futuristic, it’s also unmanned. Capacity is an important concern too though.
