Another project in the Midtown Miami area is about to break ground.
District 36, a project that includes retail and residential space, is set to break ground next month, broker Michael Comras told the Herald. Comras has been tasked with leasing the retail space.
The project is to include 195 apartment units, approximately 66,741 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and 468 parking spaces. Coincidentally, the units will be overlooking I-195.
Mack Real Estate Group and Wharton Equity Partners, both of New York, have partnered to develop the project. Days ago, Mack closed on the purchase of another potential development site just down the (highly congested) road from District 36, at 3550 Biscayne.
