Dubai Is Building A Private Island Modeled After Miami

In Dubai, a developer has announced a plan to build an entire island that is touted to be offering “Miami beach-style living.”

Emaar Beachfront will be built next to Palm Jumeirah, a series of artificial islands in the shape of a palm.

The island will be gated, and will eventually have 27 residential towers.

Sales for the first two towers with 375 residences opened last week and immediately sold out, with total sales said to be $270 million.

Don’t worry the old racist mentally ill are dying off in huge numbers. They’ll be all gone before you know it.

Not in Miami. The Latins are the most racist against one another (by country and skintone, a.k.a. “Tita Flecha” and “Reffie,” call caucasians, or “gringaso” and reference African Americans with the two fingers over the arm to represent darkness, or call them “eggplants” on group text.

GTFO. People are racist now more than ever.

How many darker-persusian African American people do you see working at any latin company down here?

Yes because it’s racist to not want a body count on the beach, this has nothing to do with race and you certainly don’t help by being a reactionary who decries people not wanting violence as racists, clown town

Anonymous

Oh, you mean the body count of all those fine-ass black women walking around on the beach during Urban Beach Week whom you wish you could get your hands on? Or are referring to the dead people who are killed by that racist police dept on Miami Beach?

This comment sucks.

Freaknik wasn’t popping in Atlanta, so it became Black College Reunion in Daytona, now that’s not popping so we have “Urban Weekend.”

All three have terrible statistics for crime, and all three cities are completely different racially. Don’t blame the police, blame the behavior.

In addition, Miami Beach police are also inherently lazy, they most likely don’t arrest people for boredom or entertainment, too much paperwork.

Boy, you really don’t know what you’re talking about. I won’t even go into Freaknik or the College Reunion gala in Daytona. Now, Urban Beach Weekend was started by Luther Campbell (of Two Live Crew fame) which infused life back into Miami Beach, specifically South Beach, which was dying after the 9/11 attacks. When blacks flocked to Miami Beach after Luther Campbell put the call out to come, that first year was the most profitable year these businesses on Miami Beach had experienced in a long time.

Now, go do some research about how even tourist from other countries are talking about the mistreatment they themselves have experienced at the hands of the MBPD. And yes, the MBPD has been accused of being a racist gustapo type entity.

“Move Memorial Day events there….”

Yeah… and replace it with something like a county an western event where people will be running for their lives when another deranged killer opens fire on the crowd with his M-14 assault rifle.

This person literally associated country western festivals to acts of terror….

Um, when have you ever heard of over thirty people being shot and killed during Urban Beach on Memorial Day weekend on South Beach?

Anonymous

Where was that mentioned? Oh it wasn’t.

Anonymous

You need to compare apples to apples. There were probably many people killed, and many more put in danger/risk during Urban weekend.

Anonymous

“There were probably”

That’s how the ignorant and no fact providing racist prove their point.

and Gay too.

I miss the free-spirited haven of gayness that South Beach was back in the late 80’s 90’s. It was so much fun and safe. Now it’s all in Fort Lauderdale. No thanks to the criminal savagery of the Hip hop gangster mixed culture.

Needs an Ocean Drive and a Nikki Beach but not bad at all.

Anonymous

Ahh, Nikki Beach, where I was told I couldn’t even sit in a chair unless I spent more than $100.

Gave them the finger and walked out.

If you’re going to create an island themed like Miami, stick to the good parts and not the touristy ripoff garbage.

So will it take them just as long to replicate the turnpike?

so they also have no legit plan for sea level rise? awesome

Anonymous

Among cities in the US, Miami Beach probably has one of the most comprehensive plans for sea level rise. Other areas of Miami-Dade are in denial, but Miami Beach has been relatively proactive.

Other cities don’t have politicians with road-raising contractor buddies.

We should learn how they are creating islands in the middle of the ocean. Not that concern at all with Sea level rise.
