EDENS Buys New Downtown Whole Foods (And 140 Parking Spaces) For $19.6M

A national operator of retail centers has purchased Downtown Miami’s new Whole Foods.

EDENS paid $19.63 million for the 41,000-square-foot store and 140 underground parking spaces, according to the SFBJ. It opened in January.

MDM previously sold off the air rights above the store to apartment developer ZOM, which recently topped off the 462-unit Monarc at Met 3 there. MDM retained ownership of some parking spaces in the garage, which will be used for the Met Square theater and hotel complex, scheduled to break ground soon.
