Israel’s El Al will add nonstop flights between Miami-Tel Aviv beginning in November, the airline announced today.
The company will fly three times weekly between the two cities using a 777-200. When El Al last flew to Miami nine years ago, the airline used a fuel guzzling 767 with fewer seats.
Tickets will go on sale beginning in mid-May, pending government approval.

Tel Aviv, 3 May, 2017 – EL AL Israel Airlines today announced the newest route to be launched will be Miami, Florida, making this the 6th destination in North America for the airline.
The new service is planned to commence for the winter 2017/18 schedule November 2017.

The new route to Miami is planned to offer 3 weekly frequencies and operate with a Boeing 777-200 aircraft. Tickets will be available for sale beginning mid-May, subject to government approval.

EL AL Israel Airlines currently offers flights to New York JFK, Newark, Los Angeles, Boston and Toronto in North America.
