Electric Race Car Track Planned At Miami Worldcenter’s 1,700-Room Convention Hotel

Developer MDM has announced plans to build an electric race car track at Miami Worldcenter.

The track will be suspended above a 5-acre rooftop pool and amenity deck at the twin-tower, 1,700-room Marriot Marquis convention center hotel, according to Local 10.

Worldcenter also announced that their next tower, the 44-story, 434-unit Luma apartment building, will break ground this summer, according to the Herald.

A panoramic, 360-degree virtual tour of Worldcenter’s public plaza and high street retail was also unveiled. It can be seen by clicking here.

Twin Tower hotel?
I’d like to see the new drawings. I had no idea it was two towers

It’s been two towers for a couple years now.

Thanks for the reply. I had no idea. I’d love to see the new plans. I think the race track will be a great addition to the area. We need more entertainment venues downtown.

Hope they can add more shade in the plaza for the summer months. That looks like a rendering of January.

Where are you standing in that 360 photo? I honestly can’t tell, because they forgot to render the metro mover

It’s the southeast corner by the proposed Luma.

Hotel Conference Center opening Q2 2035, it will look exactly like Monarc and will be branded a Fairfield Inn.

If we’re getting a better looking tower(s) than the watered-down glass box proposal, I’m all for this gimmicky amenity with a Singapore “Supertree Grove” ripoff as a compromise. How about some curves, articulation, and/or a crown/spire?

Crown spire? In Miami? Dream on…
No such thing. We’re not that lucky.
The only crown spires here are the ac cooling tanks

Or Square/rectangular boxes

Awesome render, pretty cool how it’s one of those where you can move the view by physically moving your phone. The whole plae is going to be great when the weather is nice.

Don’t know about that weird elevated racetrack though.

screaming kids make noise… if you are a single, probably want a different building as all the families seem to be moving to the urban center… can imagine they will flock to this one

A competitive race car track or a way of saying it’s a quiet electric go-kart track for tourists, but not using the lower class affiliation with go-kart?

Real question.

Stupid. MWC is a joke. Build some real buildings, not a condo and a bunch of car parks.
