FAA Approves 44-Story West Eleventh Residences At 482 Feet

The Federal Aviation Administration has approved the height proposed for West Eleventh Residences in Park West.

The 44-story tower is approved to rise 482 feet above ground, or 493 feet above sea level, the FAA approval letter states.

The application was submitted on March 6, and approved on May 9.

West Eleventh Residences is planned to include 639 residential condo units, along with a 30,000 square foot tri-level “experiential” entertainment and food hall.

Demolition permits to clear the site were approved in April.

Miami is essentially taking the best of NYC, Vegas, Silicon Valley and creating a new, better city all within a Caribbean-like Oasis. The potential is insane.

We need more parks and better sidewalks

They are building a HUGE park under and beside the signature bridge, which will only be a fews blocks away and connects to the underline!

Do they have the money ready and when?

The potential is definitely there. But I don’t think it is happening. Nobody is doing anything solid for meaningful infrastructure, talent retention, real public spaces, community building, etc
Everyone is just for the minute of fame. No real further thinking.
Of course, this only my opinion.

Where in the Caribbean are their 482-foot towers in urban centers? Along the beach for overseas tourists doesn’t count.

Amazing, hopefully the people who take pics with the whale in the background tag it as Park West and not Brickell-Downtown Miami.

That’s asking a lot. Bet there would more tags for Miami Beach than Park West

I Love the seating will be indoor/outdoor with the glass walls lifted, not sure how this works not being elevated just a few inches incase of rain water and just separating from the general public

With so much development on 11th I wonder what Micheal will do with his properties he had for the innovation district? Didn’t he get approvals for a 1000ft tower with led billboards at the entrance of 11th and NW 1st Ave?

Park West is becoming unrecognizable. It will soon be the hit spot in town.

I love the street-level interaction. That’s how you do it when blank walls are involved. Related, take notes…

Compared to the “art” currently in place, I’d say this is one of the best proposed sculptures.
