The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a letter stating that a 700-foot tower proposed at Miami Worldcenter does not pose a hazard to air navigation.
The application requesting height approval was first submitted to the FAA on December 2, so review took over 8 months.
The approval letter was issued on July 18 to Abbhi Capital, which owns a parcel at Worldcenter. The project location is listed as being at Miami Worldcenter’s Block A West, according to a description attached to the application.
A height of 692 feet above ground, or 700 feet above sea level is now approved.
Abbhi has spent a total of $44 million on 2.2 acres at Miami Worldcenter, with the rights to build up to 2 million square feet. Two adjacent sites were purchased by Abbhi in 2020 and 2021.
According to the Abbhi website, the project is now in the pre-development and entitlements phase.
The development will have multi-family, office, retail and hotel, the website says.
Naftali Group is planning a 65-story tower with 786 residential units on an adjacent parcel on the same block.
