FAA Approves Brickell Tower To Be Built At 733 Feet

The Federal Aviation Administration has granted approval for another tower in Brickell.

According to the determination letter issued October 12, the proposed tower height of 731 feet above ground, or 733 feet above sea level does not present a hazard to air navigation in the area.

Renderings for the tower have not yet been revealed.

According to a description on the FAA application, the project site is at 99 SW 7th Street. Location data attached to the filing shows it will be located on riverfront land next to the under-construction Lofty Brickell tower.

Notes on the newly approved filing state that it is a refiling of a previous proposal at a higher height.

The approval letter was sent to NGD Riverfront LLC in Miami.

Would love to see more of their plans for the riverwalk!

Let’s expand the Metromover over it so the homeless have shelter from the sun and graffiti “artists” have somewhere to tag!

Have you been to the Underline? It’s a luxury public park with gardens, butterflies, table tennis, sculptures etc. also the monorail tracks are lit up with a rainbow of lights. It’s fun to watch the trains weave around and zip through the City.

Tell us you don’t live in Miami without telling us.

What would be the best riverfront restaurant for this beautiful place?

An acclaimed Greek waterfront restaurant is coming to Lofty. We’d love a new American tapas or Korean place with a great wine selection. We need a more relaxed, intimate date spot as an alternative to the lively Miami Ave, so we can enjoy the flavors by the river walk.

hope they can preserve the downtown culture and not cater to the elite alix earle carbon copy transplants by opening up sweetgreens every block

Yeah, you’re right. There’s just so much “culture” currently in downtown, with arepa bars crawling with cockroaches and blocks of sparsely populated commercial jewelry and suitcase outlets, I can’t get enough of it. Who needs restaurants that people actually like anyway?

Suitcase outlets and don’t forget cellphone repair shops run by scammers

Downtown culture? That’s what it’s missing. We need alternatives to sweet green. Like Dig In, love a good inventive bowl concept.

1-2 years. They’re moving fast because of the growing demand and new zoning in this part of Miami

sorry Miami, but with all the ugly skyscrapers going up on the your River, it will never touch the majesty of the Chicago river; flanked with oblique-angled limestone supertalls as well a glass ones . I thought the stucco monstrosities stopped at Panorama…..smh
