At Magellan Development Group’s Midtown 6, glass installation is now underway.
The project will include 447 apartments in a 32-story tower.
BKL Architecture of Chicago is the architect.
“BKL Architecture of Chicago is the architect.”
Sad how it takes an out of town architect to make something decent when compared to neighboring crap by Stantec and Kobi Krap.
I don’t see anything different that makes it stand out from the Locally Designed buildings.
Do you see a giant box atop a parking podium and cluttered assortment of windows, balconies, and/or sheetmetal? That’s what “locally designed” has been the past five or so years. Meanwhile this clean design is a tower exhibiting MiMo queues and a Streamline Art Deco base of quality materials.
Yes indeed. I see a Box with “cluttered balconies” as you refer to them, I also see Glass, Stucco and maybe a stone not sure, but we can call them “quality materials”.
It’s obvious you really like the building, but again, nothing different from what local architects have done in Miami. I can easily go around town and find queues of all sorts in these towers, and they all use the same quality materials.
I do agree the did a great job at removing podium from facade but that’s more Site specific. The footprint of this building is twice the size of most towers in Brickell.
I wonder if Walmart will sell their lot to Related group.
Hopefully anyone but, no one wants more related mediocrity. Would love to see this developer take it, midtown 5 is a quality project.
