First Glass Installed At 588-Unit Nema Apartment Tower

Nema Miami, a 39-story apartment tower under construction in Edgewater, has had its first glass installed, new photos show.

Whole Foods Market has signed a lease to occupy the ground floor of the development. The new supermarket will serve adjacent areas including Midtown Miami and Wynwood.

Nema’s first phase is planned to rise 39 stories, or 430 feet and include:

  • 588 apartments
  • 42,030 square foot Whole Foods Market
  • 748 parking spaces (195 for Whole Foods customers)

A second phase of Nema is also planned with another 400 apartments.

ODP is the architect of record, with Arquitectonica the design architect.

Crescent Heights is the developer.

They is definitely a need for another grocery store nearby because the amount of residents coming to Whole Foods will be overwhelming

Sedanos does not belong in this part of Miami.

Why wouldn’t a sedanos belong there? It’s a Latin supermarket and whole foods and even Publix don’t carry the Latin products a lot of people consume. I would want to have that option close by

Whole Foods was the right choice for the ground floor for sure!

When is Whole Foods coming to Brickell? Surprised they haven’t opened one yet. There needs to be more variety than the basic publicks. All three Publix stores in Brickell are terrible.

Give it a rest dude. I hope they truly protect any archeological findings. They hold more value than any of this ugly looking building

I like this building. This is how you do stucco well! It helps to have a high glazing ratio of course

When stucco is done right, with high volumes of glass, it looks better than all glass.
