Glass windows have been installed at the first Park Line tower at MiamiCentral.

Two residential buildings are now rising above the retail space and train station. They will top out at 30 and 33 stories, with a total of 816 apartments.

Only valet parking will be available, with a robotic parking garage.

Residents will have access to a park-like rooftop amenity deck that spans multiple blocks. They will also have access to 180,000 square feet of retail and food hall, along with Brightline, Tri-Rail, Metromover and Metrorail access just an elevator ride away.

The parking garages are hideous chunks of Swiss cheese and detract from the station’s elegance. What kind of city even puts has parking garages for residential towers on top of a train station? Oh yeah, Miami… Sad!

I think this is the dumbest comment I’ve ever read on the next Miami and that takes a lot…..

What is it all about your phobia of parking garages??
Were you abandoned left abandoned in one, when you were little?

I understand his point. Miami is the only major city that includes parking in a densely urbanized area. I just came back from London and most of the new development there does not include parking. Miami has a problem. We need to stop trying to implement “auto centric” in to the urban core. Parking is ruining the urban and public realm. We need real buildings not Vertical Suburbs.
