The developers of One Thousand Museum have released photos of the completed tower for the first time.
Zaha Hadid designed the tower, making it the the first and final residential tower in the Western Hemisphere designed by her (Hadid was a part time Miami resident, and died at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2016).
Records show that at least 50 units have closed, out of 84 condos built. Prices for remaining residences start at $5 million and range up to $25 million.
The 62-story tower has been recognized as one of the world’s most challenging engineering projects.
The building’s shell alone cost $70 per square foot, double what a normal building would cost, according to the WSJ. Total hard construction cost is estimated at $300 million.
