First Look At Zaha Hadid’s Completed Scorpion Tower, One Thousand Museum

The developers of One Thousand Museum have released photos of the completed tower for the first time.

Zaha Hadid designed the tower, making it the the first and final residential tower in the Western Hemisphere designed by her (Hadid was a part time Miami resident, and died at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2016).

Records show that at least 50 units have closed, out of 84 condos built. Prices for remaining residences start at $5 million and range up to $25 million.

The 62-story tower has been recognized as one of the world’s most challenging engineering projects.

The building’s shell alone cost $70 per square foot, double what a normal building would cost, according to the WSJ. Total hard construction cost is estimated at $300 million.

Zaha Hadid would be proud of completed building.

I would be proud of Zaha is she devoted her time to develop infra that promoted a more equalitarian and fairer society not u it’s for super rich to flaunt their comparative wealth at the expense of the most desperately poor. And promote disquality

Dude trying to use words to make himself sound smart. But it’s obvious there is one thing he’s not smart enough to do, and that’s start a business that caters to the so-called “super rich.”

Bigbadbillyboy

But not stupid enough to be earning a pathetic salary and needing to pay 70% , to rent your tiny accommodation. Enjoy your sad existence bowing and drooling to the superich whilst they wipe their feet with you. ..how was my use of language this time? Lol.

Just as pathetic as your first comment. Your idealistic wishful view of society is surely no concern of the people you call “super-rich,” so stop wasting your breath and your stupid assumptions.

Hahaha , I know it’s you checking….mr. anonimous. Wishful view of society… hardly a compelling public discours, u just strung two words together , Youre too pathetic and stupid to see the trees from the woods and too weak to have a public opinion. You have no idea about nothing. . Ps this is what.you get for insulting people on a personal level . If i worry you so and so fragile dont get personal . Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones Mr anonymous . .

Mr high moral ground here , he who started attaking others on a personal level…youre scum , the lowest of the lowest. Insulting others using anonymity and too scared to come out of the dark. . I wipe the floor with you. Eat you you breakfast. I’m sure you’ll never insult another person from now on. And if you do. I’m right here behind you waiting ..

Watched the build again last night. No more fascinating building, that I can imagine, exists beyond this one. The teams that wrestled with this unique piece of art are to be congratulated for giving Zaha her dream come true. And this world one extraordinary masterpiece.

I am not the one who wrote the original post but I can tell you where. Right next to the Mark in Brickell. Overlooking the bay standing out like a beautiful princess. Just my opinion.

What are you laughing at dummy? Mr anonymous is agreeing to a comment that suggests others are dummy’s because it makes him feel smarter and above developers. …o told you I’m being you. I’m actually doing the work your psycologist ….overcompensating your pathological insecurity by putting yourself a above others. You should thank me mr. Anonymous. Hey…Mr. anonymous use a name…o i forgot you’re too scared of that…..

The only problem I see with the location, is that this building is sandwiched between the other boxes so it doesn’t stand out at it should. A glimpse into the future for sure.

Anonymous

Sounds like a comment from someone who doesn’t know the area. I just moved from Brickell to Park West, directly next door to 1000 museum. Downtown is the future… Brickell is dwindling into a crowded, badly designed condo metropolis with constantly changing restaurants and horrendous traffic.

Downtown has two museums, Arscht Center, AAA, some sort of history and World center coming. 1000 Museum is the future of Miami.

Have you all gone loopy?? Everyone here praising the design and bldg. I would if it were a public and utilitarian for all to enjoy. an airport, city hall…etc. but this is a symbol of rich multimillionaires spending gazzilions on extremely beautiful but expensive properties so they can feel superior to folk like me and you who are drooling. You guys don’t get it. There is 1 in 288 Americans homeless. These costs are ridiculous. Rich folk literally laughing in our phases spending millions I stead of helping he 99% others. Oh yeah let’s drool and admire this phenomenon unfolding in our society. Meanwhile our children are first generation Americans to statiticly expect worse quality of life than us. This is a stinking symbol of the jokr the rich are playing on us and perpetuation of this sad cycle. So .. don’t act like teenagers , get mad! And please overcome your Stockholm complex .

Bigbadbillyboy

Fair question– I’ve created a public charity 501c3 created to support long term unskilled unemployed members of the community thru infrastructure building. Training and hiring victims of abuse in shelters, single mothers etc. Starting in Bronx , but coming to Miami.

Anonymous

Ha!.. you mean, you created a “public charity” to stuff money in your pockets from unaware suckers in the Bronx.

Bigbadbillyboy

Well. Nope. Clearly you do not know nothing of what 501c3 it’s not possible, all donations to a gov. Foundation adminostered by the stat attorney general office. Omg you’re such a dummy. But believe me. Nobody is ever going to come and help you when you fall . We dont care about you. U think everyone is stealing because you are the thief. A worthless low life Human. Being. ….I know it’s you mr. anonymous. Come out of he dark.little boy….and then accuse me of fraud and embezelmemt. Lets see where that gets you, scared littl creature hiding in the dark. … …
