Florida’s population is growing even faster than last year, according to new data.
The Census Bureau released a report today that showed Florida added 365,703 residents from July 1, 2014, to July 1, 2015. That equates to an average of over 1,000 a day.
Florida ranked second nationally for population growth during the period, ahead of much larger California and behind only Texas.
Growth in Florida this year was even faster than the 2013-2014 period, when Florida passed New York in population. The number of people moving to Florida this year was about 25 percent higher than the previous year, when Florida ranked third behind Texas and California.
