Fort Lauderdale’s second tallest building has just received construction financing.
RD East Las Olas, LLC, an affiliate of Miami’s Related Group, was granted an $84 million construction loan by Bank of America. The financing was first reported by the SFBJ.
The 47-story tower was approved by Fort Lauderdale city officials in 2019 for the 499-foot height, which would make it the second tallest tower in the city.
The FAA also approved the proposed building height of 494 feet above ground, or 499 feet above sea level earlier this year.
RD Las Olas will include 311 apartments and ground floor retail at 201 S. Federal Highway.
City records show that a building permit has been in progress.
The tallest building in Fort Lauderdale is the 46-story 100 Las Olas, which topped off in 2019 at 499 feet above ground.
Cohen Freedman Encinosa is the architect.
