Foundation Equipment Arrives At Oko’s 830 Brickell Site, Construction Permit Filed For 56-Story Office Tower

There’s lots of activity at Oko Group’s 830 Brickell site across from Brickell City Centre.

Last week, a construction permit was filed to build a 56-story story office tower on the site. A total of 555,094 square feet of office space will be built, according to the permit, with construction cost estimated at $97,141,450. Civic Construction is listed as the contractor.

Heavy foundation equipment was also brought to the site last week, and a building formerly housing Chicken Kitchen was in the process of being demolished.

The new building could become the second tallest in Miami. A pending FAA application lists the building height at 834 feet above ground, or 839 feet above sea level. The only building in Florida that is now taller is Brickell’s Panorama Tower (although excavation is underway at the 1,049-foot Skyrise site, and several other buildings are planned above 1,000 feet).

So it won’t be residential anymore. Good to see an office tower in the area, Miami needs more high paying jobs.

OFFICE!? Finally. The local (inept) politicians can’t even ruin the inevitable coming of Miami from a purely vacation/tourist city to a tier 1 corporate city with cultural amenities and plenty of vacation/tourist sites 😉

Now, where are the renderings??

offices have higher floor to ceiling heights from residential buildings. Alot of wiring under the floors and in the ceilings for office buildings.

Well I hope it’ll look better than that Arquitectonica box proposed nearby. You know, the one the URB made revise and it went from decent to shite. What even happened with it?

if you bought on that side at SLS Lux and you didn’t think they were going to build something in that empty lot, then you must have been high!

views are not guaranteed, especially when you buy in the middle of a rapidly developing corridor filled with high rises

Funny that they had the whole open lobby that will not be a view of a building.

How could something of this magnitude escaped everyone’s notice ? And might it be Banco Santander ?
