A site & soil permit has just been issued for 1400 Biscayne, where the 57-story Casa Bella by B&B Italia condo tower is planned.
The permit was issued on July 19 to contractor Coastal Construction, Miami Building Department records show.
Demolition of an older 3-story office building at the site recently wrapped up.
Casa Bella will include 312 condo units.
A permit for vertical construction of the tower is still in review. A tree permit and fence permit are also in review. Coastal Construction is also listed as the contractor on all of the permits.
Eventually, three towers are planned on the property.
