Foundation Permit Issued For PMG’s 400 Biscayne, Will Include 714 Units

Developer PMG was issued a permit last week to begin construction on the foundation of 400 Biscayne.

A 49-story mixed-use tower is being built.

Total cost of the foundation work is estimated at $2 million. The permit allows for excavation, piles, site and soil improvement.

A separate construction permit has been applied for, but not yet issued, to begin vertical work on the tower, which will include 714 units in a 49-story, 573-foot tower.

Over 1 million square feet will be built, at a cost of $175,262,501, the permit states.

John Moriarty Associates is the contractor.

Hoping the black comes out nicely, will add some variety to the skyline.

It’s actually grey tint but looks black in the rendering.

I agree.

The original had nice curves, but ugly balconies and blank base. This has a cooler base, but the lipstick on a pig mural is hideous, and final result will likely end up a lot more boring or ugly.

This huge tower could not be more boring. I guess its economic. Cheap design equals more profit for developers.
Economics= 5 Star (hopefully)
Design= 1 Star (solid grade)

So why can’t we speculate? Stop being so serious?

I love that green space between this and the Freedom Tower, hopefully it will be that way on each side.

Yes that would be great for this area!! A little oasis in the mist of soon to become a very dense and beautiful area.

It would make this space so much nicer

You want green space?.. take your lazy butt across the street.. you have two parks to wallow in right there.

Anonymous

two parks with no one visiting either of them. lol

Anonymous

That means a lot of space to frolic in.

If the block across the street can be filled with shade trees, there’s no reason Bayfront Park can’t be re-shaded like it was pre-1984.

The green space does not exist unfortunately. It is a parking lot that they do not own at 500 Biscayne

Seriously do the people who comment on here even LIVE IN MIAMI???

Anonymous

I am commenting on a rendering so I know that the green space is part of the rendering, hence not real. Therefore I said I hope it will like that! You guys are whining and whining about everything. Geeeez! I think we need more green spaces for you guys so you can go, meditate and relax a little?

I love how they dont even have their other building (the x Miami which is across the street) in the renderings

It looks like the 2019 version of The Grand. A huge block with a good view but incredibly boring architecture.

Dunno something g about the grand still makes is pretty awesome today

Not a fan. Maybe it’s just bad renderings, but it looks like something you’d see in Manhattan. Too dark. Clashes with the other buildings. Doesn’t have that Orbit City swag. Sore thumb.

if the X Miami building is any indication of what they are going to do, this building will look like crap.
