Foundation Pour Planned Later This Month For 40-Story Downtown Miami Tower

Downtown Miami’s 501 First tower is getting close to having a foundation pour, according to an Instagram post.

Auger test piles is currently underway, with a foundation pour planned “later this month,” the post said.

The 40-story tower is being built without a parking garage, joining a number of others nearby. There will be 60 spaces for bike parking.

The ground level is being designed with wide sidewalks and greenery to provide shade and a usable pedestrian space.

A total of 448 residential condos allowing short term rentals are planned in the tower.

Revuelta is the architect.

Aria Development Group and Aqarat are the developers.

See how elegant a tower looks without a tacky painted mural podium!

One of my favorites – what’s not to like about the location, density, design, and pedestrian focus? Nothing, that’s what…

This is how simple can be beautiful. Gyrating balcony and acid-trip mural designers take note.

One of the best good looking towers going up in Miami. I love the way the tower meets the street below.

Best tower under construction in Miami, if only it wasn’t short term rentals…

agree with your comments not liking all the short term rentals, but strongly disagree it’s “the best tower under construction in Miami.” It’s fine, but not even in the top 10. If you want me top 10 let me know.

Once again, renderings that omit multiple major adjacent towers. Pretty in the picture, but the view will be blocked by Bezel (460 feet), Natiivo (500 feet), Caobo tower 2 (460 feet), Worldcenter (520 feet), Legacy (650 feet). How about some truth in advertising?

I went to LA 2 weeks ago. The downtown near the Broad Museum seems to have wider streets than in Miami. Are our buildings too close together?

what’s with everyone gushing on this building? it’s fine, but this must be a group of boosters trying to hyper-market this or something

Not bad for what it is.. but why a dark charcoal color. This is Miami.. white, pinks and blues.
Dark colors are so ominous and ugly

It’s glass. It’ll look lighter when finished.

It is dark grey stucco and glass. Mostly glass though so I think it will look nice

The dark looks less obstructive at this size because it blends with the night sky rather than looking like a big white block.
