Foundation Poured At Luma, Becoming The Third Tower At Miami Worldcenter To Go Vertical

A foundation pour at the Luma Miami Worldcenter tower has been completed, and the project will soon begin the vertical phase of construction.

Photos and video of the construction site show a concrete pour taking place last night.

Luma is the third tower to go vertical at Miami Worldcenter, out of about a dozen planned. A tower crane has already been installed.

The 43-story Luma will include 434 apartments that developers are promising will be among the most luxurious in town.

A $143 million construction loan was issued to developers Zom Living and The Moinian Group earlier this year.

Stantec is the architect.

Welcomed progress for the area, but Miami Worldcenter as a whole has been moving slow as molasses & is a shell of its proposed self.

Thank goodness – can you imagine if Macy’s was there? Progress is being made and think it looks a ton better. Apple is looking at a ‘cube’ type store at MWC.

The same people who shop at the Herald Square, Union Square, and State Street locations? Sorry, but I would’ve rather had a successor to a Downtown staple than another Apple store so close that one runs the risk of closing if it starts to tank.

Thank you. I agree…about the Macys. I’ve never been inside an Apple store and don’t plan on it any time soon. BFD.

Peej, clearly you have never developed 25 acres in a urban environment. “Slow as molasses?”
Please. This is a major undertaking and a major undertaking.

Congrats to the men who do things and make things happen.
