Downtown 5th had a foundation pour this weekend for its West Tower.
It is the second and final pour for the project, and vertical construction is now underway.
According to shell contractor L&R Structural Corp., the pour used four pumps and 2,450 yards of concrete, and lasted 8 hours.
The twin tower project will have more apartments than any other project ever built in Miami’s Central Business District. A total of 1,042 apartments and 12,506 square feet of retail is planned.
The 51-story towers will have a permanent height of 495 feet above ground when completed.
Three cranes will assist during construction, and recently had their heights approved.
