Foundation Work At 48-Story Solitair Brickell Closer To Completion

Developer ZOM is getting closer to completing the foundation at the 48-story Solitair Brickell.

When completed, the tower will include 438 residential units, 440 parking spaces, and 7,649 square feet of ground floor retail space. It will top off at 555 feet.

The project is located across from Brickell City Centre, at 86 SW 8 Street.

Architect ADD Inc’s design for the tower was said to be inspired by the Medjool Date Palm. ADD is also designing ZOM’s upcoming Luma at Miami Worldcenter.

part of the garage has already gone vertical:

I love date palms and have a few in front of my yard. My favorite is the Sylvester Date Palm Tree. This building design is beautiful. I love how it resembles the bark of the Medjool date palm. Very nice!.

The developers and Sony agreed on making Spiderman live in Miami for the next movie they make. That’s why we’re getting so much construction. It had nothing to do with economics or lifestyle, it was just for making a movie.

Did Kevin Feige have a say as well?

So, Hollywood wants the city of Miami to look dense enough, all for the sake of making a single movie that has been making many tiresome versions of itself for the past decade ? …..Ah! ok….

Love the design as well, but I think the project will be hurt by its lack of setbacks. It is immediately adjacent (separated by only feet from the Brickell Heights 02 Tower to the South)…not even a street separating the two 40+ story towers…disaster.

there are plenty of towers going up, very similar. Even Zaha’s tower is being built on top of Ten Museum, just the podium setback separating the two..
