Foundation work appears to be underway at the $110 million Soleste Grand Central, a luxury residential building planned for Overtown.
The project is being built a short walk from the newly completed MiamiCentral hub where Brightline has a terminal. One block away, developer Swerdlow Group is planning a $130 million vertical retail and residential project called Sawyer’s Landing, with tenants that may include Saks Off Fifth, Petsmart and LA fitness.
Estate Investments Group and PTM Partners are developing Soleste Grand Central on land owned by the Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency. As part of the deal, the developer will set aside some units for affordable and workforce housing.
The 18-story tower will include 360 apartments, 438 parking spaces, and 6,500 square feet of ground floor retail.
