Apple Store At Brickell City Centre Has Glass Installed – At Midnight

Construction crews are working on the new multi-level Apple Store at Brickell City Centre in the cover of night.

Over the past weekend, contractors were seen installing Apple’s famous glass wall facade at the front of the store.

Security closed off the surrounding area during construction, which took place through the night (the photos below were taken around midnight).

The store will span the first and second level of the mall’s west block, and include 9,407 square feet of space.

The project keeps getting a delayed opening. I know someone that is working on the cmx theater and she told me middle march a month ago. She recently told me it won’t be until April. So they are behind schedule.

They did it at night because they didnt want the public to see them installing windows.

Also, The glass in the Apple stores is typically 1″ laminated and HUGE pcs. Extremely heavy and awkward to move around.

The only remaining spots are the 4th floor north of the pubbelly sushi, 3rd floor above the apple store and 4th floor above la centrale. Rumor has it either crate & barrel or pottery barn will occupy the space near CMX movie theater. Honestly the mall needs once of the two.

I think crate and barrel will do definetly much better in BCC than a Pottery Barn. Home stores and furniture stores are needed in this area.

Good, a great store with air condition, to scape the humidity and heat of the summer in the common areas

It’s seems to me that you are extremely bitter about bcc. Every article, all I hear from you is how you went to some amazing architecture school and that you hate bcc. LOL! Seems like to me you were let go of that project or somewhere down the line, someone rejected your idea for an enclosed mall. Hahaha!

OMG, then move north where you have ‘much better weather’….can’t you see Miami already has open malls that by the way are very successful like the Design District, MidTwon, Bayside, Merrick Park, Bal Harbor, The Falls…even Aventura Mall is expanding and adding an open air wing….why do you complain so much???

Good luck…… the access to this mall is horrible , traffic is crazy , and this is not NY yet ….
