Groundbreaking Ceremony Held For Aria Reserve’s 62-Story North Tower

In Edgewater, a groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday for the 62-story North Tower at Aria Reserve.

Mayor Francis Suarez was among the attendees at the event.

Aria Reserve is said be the tallest twin-tower waterfront development in the U.S., according to the developer.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the South Tower took place in May 2022. A foundation pour took place in February 2023, and construction had reached level 20 by August.

According to construction permit filings, the South Tower will have 383 condo units, while the North Tower will have 360 units.

Both towers will top off at 62 stories, or 649 feet.

All those empty slots in our skyline are finally being filled

This area is far from completing the skyline. It’s all empty lots and car dealerships, no mass transit

Need a Mall across current Omni for all these great upcoming developments.

Relocating Fashion District and Lincoln Road and all other struggling malls to one deFacto Mall is greatly needed to keep away from criminals and losing vendors in Dade.

lets see the back of the towers…

there’s a reason why they won’t release any renderings of the rear and podiums

You can get a glimpse of them on the Aria Reserve website. Unfortunately, they’re just as horrendous as you’d expect.

Apart from a real estate office, what retail could possibly work at the end of a dead-end street?

Mini market, day care, vet, dentist, gym, etc etc

Any tower over 100 units should have some kind of retail/commercial component. It just makes sense with the potential customer base already there and plus it limits cars trips.

How many retail outlets can there be? Most people just go to big box retailers/supermarkets a few times a month, and there are already plenty of those.
