Incredible Drone Photos Show Construction Progress At Downtown Miami’s Aston Martin Tower

New construction photos of downtown Miami’s Aston Martin Residences show that the tower is about to become the city’s second tallest building.

The photos, taken over the weekend, show that contractors are now building penthouse level 63 of the 66-story tower.

That puts the tower very close to being the second tallest in the city – if not already.

Aston Martin Residences is set to top off at 66 stories, or 816 feet. Panorama Tower in Brickell is Miami’s tallest at 85 stories, or 868 feet tall. The Four Seasons tower will become third-tallest at 70 stories, or 789 feet.

There are also palm trees now installed on level 55, where an amenities deck with a pool is located.

It’s nice but relax. It doesn’t even crack NYC’s top 10

idk. If you are talking about modern construction buildings…This is definitely up there. That sky pool deck with infinity pool is impressive.

Um, it easily kicks 432 Park Avenue’s ass.

These photos are better than anything their social media accounts post. It is surprising such a nice tower can have such an awful social media presence.

This is what I thought Flatiron was going to look like. What a great design.

Anonymous

I agree. The Flatiron building is lackluster compared to this one

Also the planned Aston Martin building.

This x 100. Touring Flatiron for the first time was such a let down. The building really did not live up to the hype.

This project? Worth the wait and will be worth the $$$

Seriously though! I was watching one of Jason Matouk’s Flatiron penthouse videos on yt and the guest bedrooms were SO BORING! Flatiron has real great amenities, but the apartments are very mediocre in comparison to nearby buildings.

There’s nothing flatiron about our Flatiron building. The original design was so much better and we ended up with a flatTire Buildling

Don’t blame the developers, not after all the BS they had to go through to build that tower.

The original flat iron building plans showed one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. Too bad it was never built.

Anonymous

Yeah the first rendering they made for flatiron was way more sleek.

This design was originally supposed to be Brickell Flatiron, but the developers swapped it out and the architect re-shopped it for Aston Martin. I’m glad this got built eventually… it’s a stunning design, even if it’s a bit basic. Sometimes simplicity is the right design philosophy.

Should have been 10 stories taller

Anonymous

yes it should have been taller so it would stand out on a very congested area of the skyline

This and Okan Tower -if it gets build- are the two outstanding designs for Condo Towers in Miami.

Nice! It’s hard to tell but there is a protective film on the windows so it’ll look ever more reflective when it comes off. It’s more silver color than greenish as is now.

Also, I feel like Downtown Miami has a real problem with shadows, but I cannot decide whether or not that’s a good thing considering everything is hella hot anyways.

I guess when your choice is blinding light and heat or shadows and cool, I feel like I would choose shadows.

We can’t have trees that aren’t palms, so settle with shadows and better sidewalks and street lighting.

I remember even during the foundation pour they were claiming it wouldn’t happen and they’re just pushing dirt around and doing a fake deep soil mix.

Look, I refuse to give in.. they’re still just “pushing dirt around and doing a fake deep soil mix…”

This is a great looking tower. However, with only three floors to go, it still way shorter than the Southeast Financial Tower at 764 feet tall. Maybe the pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago.

If you want to look at it’s current progress, there’s a live cam featured in the Aston Martin Residences website.

Projects like this Okan, Paramont, Legacy and Aston Martin, one more beautifulthan the other, will leave the legacy of a beautiful skyline in Miami. I think the city needs a landmark, a symbol, which could be the SkyRise, but the project could be improved, as it was much less than the beautiful aesthetics of the buildings I mentioned above.
