Norman Braman’s massive new showroom for luxury cars is now open for business.
The 82-year-old Braman built his new dealership on valuable Biscayne Boulevard land, but he probably never even considered building anything else there. Braman bought the property in 1975 for a fraction of what it would be worth today, and has built an empire of dealerships and service centers in the area. He even has a Shell gas station there, where thousands of gallons are pumped into his cars.
In the new showroom, buyers can select from a variety of brands, including Bugatti, Rolls Royce, and Bentley. For those on a more modest budget, Braman offers BMW, Cadillac, and Mini. You’re also welcome to go across the street to his Hyundai and Kia dealerships.
Wolfberg Alvarez Architects designed the 97,000 square foot, seven-story structure, which includes car storage on the upper levels. It is located directly across the street from the YoungArts complex.
