Developers have revealed plans for an 80-unit condo tower designed by Jean Nouvel in South Beach, Curbed reported.
JDS Development, along with Howard Lorber’s New Valley are the developers. New Valley also controls a majority stake in brokerage Douglas Elliman, which will handle sales.
The 14-story tower will be clad with silk-screen printed glass panels, along with a vegetation-covered stainless steel grid. A lagoon and basement parking are designed to withstand occasional flooding.
The final piece of an assemblage that cost at least $42 million was finalized this week, and demolition is underway. The foundation is expected to be poured this summer.
