Kushner Planning Fort Lauderdale City Center: ‘One Of The Most Significant Urban Projects In South Florida’ With 1,100 Units Near Brightline Station

Kushner Companies appears to be planning a major project called Fort Lauderdale City Center.

The developer acquired the 4.2-acre property last year from Swire Properties, and newly released renderings show a plan for three towers on the site.

An email recently sent out by a real estate firm said that the “well capitalized, world class owner” is looking for a partner to develop the project.

The first phase will be known as the 200 Site on 1.1 acres, and will include a high-rise building with 375 condos or rental apartments, along with ground floor retail.

Fort Lauderdale City Center is planned to have a total of 1,100 units when complete.

An approximately 50,000 square foot grocery store will anchor the project.

Brightline’s Fort Lauderdale Station is about a 5 minute walk away.

Hey people…Swire still owns the site. Kushner has had it under contract for over a year (most likely with a big non-refundable deposit) and now Kushner is trying to flip part of it. That description you see in this article is a cover page from a commercial real estate broker’s offering package. They will be hard pressed to find a buyer during Covid, or even post-Covid, and with all the units already in the pipeline in FTL, and at any kind of a profit that would satisfy Kushner.

In other words, I wouldn’t expect anything to happen with this property anytime soon.

Where is the affordable housing? Those of us who work in the grocery stores, restaurants & hotels can no longer afford to live in Fort Lauderdale. I’m sick of the promises. The time for action is long overdue.

Boring, boring boxes. The best they could do was zig-zag a color contrast across the face? Ft Lauderdale will have to look at this forever, so, I hope they don’t mind a lack of imagination.

This will never happening…you country bumpkins down here are part of the clown car if you believe all this. Smoke screens while spending time grifting away and asking their poor ‘supporters’ for money to fund their lifestyle while they try to escape prison and avoid getting wacked by the Oligarchs they owe money. Watch.

The Brightline food court in Miami is much smaller than Fort Lauderdale’s Brightline food court. The condo/apartment building & the grocery store will be a good addition to the community. They should probably have the grocery store that they’re including be a Publix grocery store seeing that it is the best grocery store with a good delicatessen and bakery. This will be a nice upscale condo/apartment building for those living in Fort Lauderdale and who work in Miami.

20 years for corruption and 20 years for graft!

Anonymous

You had four years to find corruption, and all you could do is peddle a hoax that Russia hacked the election. Meanwhile, your buddy Biden, whose had his hands down every special interest’s pants for the past forty years, whose son actually has shady business dealings with Russia and vicinity which daddy was a beneficiary from, and an election where Trump exceled everywhere expect a select few counties in swing states is foolproof… apparently all conspiracy theories.

So spare us the NPC lines.

Anonymous

Well I guess the nation should just ignore the loan Russia promised Trump. And I guess we’ll turn a blind eye also to the various pictures of the two Russians that show Trump cozying up to and then later claimed he didn’t know them, lol…….

Anonymous

YES! Cause this time it will truly destroy the republican party. What will they run on when the country sees Biden and Harris are not socialists and all of our 401ks are higher?

Anonymous

I agree. Biden isn’t a socialist. He doesn’t even know who he is half the time.

However, Harris and everybody else pulling Biden’s strings are either communist syphopaths, or globo-corporatists who would sell your children to China if they could.

Anonymous

So they’re either communists (no corporations or profit, state run industries) OR globo-corporatists (free market, profit driven capitalists trying to take over the world), and they’re BOTH pulling Biden’s strings? The whole world really is against you, isn’t it? Good thing you’ve got that tinfoil hat.

Anonymous

Bidens proposals will flip traditional 401ks on their head. No more pre tax since hard working Americans that save are considered too wealthy now. Sounds like reverse discrimination
again. More taxes on the only ones who pay taxes! And if the economy grows more it was due to the policies this year under trump control.

“And if the economy grows more it was due to the policies this year under trump control” …the last four years were successful due to the policies of his predecessor. 2016: Inherit everything, claim you made it, bankrupt/break/bleed it dry, then pretend it was someone else’s fault. He’s been doing it his whole life, so why should he treat the country differently? When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the…
