Kushner Releases New Rendering Of First Tower Planned At 1,100-Unit Project In Downtown Miami, Wants To Develop More Here

Kushner Companies has released a new rendering on their website of an apartment project they plan at 2000 Biscayne in Edgewater, and says they are seeking to develop even more projects in the area.

The rendering appears to be slightly different than others that were released for the same site by the developer.

1900 and 2000 Biscayne will include three towers with a total of 1,100 units, the website states. The tower at 2000 Biscayne will be built first.

All three towers will have luxury rentals with top of the line amenities, and will set a new standard for Miami’s residential market, according to Kushner’s website.

City records show that the permitting process for the first tower is actively underway as of this month.

The permit states that the first tower will have 393 apartment units in a 36-story tower, along with 455 parking spaces.

Kushner has been expanding in the Miami area. It was once run by President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and continues to be controlled by his family.

Jared and his brother Joshua recently purchased homes in the area.

Kushner is also planning projects in Wynwood and Fort Lauderdale. The company continues to actively seek additional acquisitions and development opportunities in the Miami area, their website states.

Dorsky + Yue is the architect for the first 2000 Biscayne tower.

This area desperately needs some attention

This area and others near it.

This building isn’t it. Looks cheap, like everything the Kushner family has ever built.

This is a rental building thats not on the water and in an ok area at best on Biscayne Blvd. No developer is going to shell out big money for a rental in this area.

You mean this proposed building looks cheap compared to whats in the area now?

sub-par architecture but great infill and height that biscayne blvd desperately needs

Anonymous

Desperately is actually an understatement.
Edgewater is a big area; much bigger than Brickell and has acres and acres from the bay to Wynwood of dilapidated, empty wasteland. I sure hope this gets built at Melo speed.

Infill is amazing, adding units is great! But what about all the cars adding to our clogged streets? Extend the Metromover along NE 2nd Ave to the Design District and give everyone an alternative to choked up parking garages and stalled Biscayne commutes.

Since Genting has its eye on the Beach Corridor chopped up to fit its needs, the county should look at its own SMART Plan studies. The NE 2nd Ave vs N Miami Ave corridor seems a lot more attractive as a public option to extend Metromover.

Hows this any different than Melos designs? You cant expect luxury price points if youre not close to the water like the actual waterfront luxury towers rising in edgewater already across the street that block your view already haha!!

Haven’t you heard?.. more out of town north easterners (and people from other areas) are coming and they have a different perspective about luxury towers.

No they don’t

Unless it’s Aria, Melo hates curves, symmetry, and actually trying to conceal a parking pedestal.

Miami is queen of the curves. Don’t must loose this title because melo.

I agree, the neon green of the last render was a bit off putting.

Someone tell me how another 500 cars along Biscayne is a good thing…

Anonymous

Not all 500 spaces will be used, more all apartments with even have a car. Everyone is going to use their car at a different frequency.

Anonymous

Are you kidding?.. no matter how much these residents will be paying in rent, that wouldn’t concern them because all they’ll do is get in a car and drive up and down Biscayne Blvd all day.

Sheesshh… like I said before, there are a lot of brain dead people living in Miami.

Much better than the last design, more simple and streamlined.

I like the other design a little better, but, I agree with you.

Let’s get it going.

Miami wins but need a new zoning planning. The city don’t have specific center. Which is the city center point? Flagler street, bayside, brickell center? Ny has time square, London has Trafalgar square, Paris has Eifell tower. Even miami beach has Lincoln road. Only worldcenter contractors they have the opportunity to locate a real center in Miami with a kind of square or pedestrian street.

MWC will be what you are describing

Worlcenter will be the future meet point of the city. Great potential for this area when finish the bridge which connect mwc with arts center.

Anonymous

MWC is planned to have NE 7th St as a pedestrian mall connecting AAA to MiamiCentral, “Worldsquare”, and a few paseos and plazas. Should be what you’re hoping for. Brickell City Centre and Mary Brickell Village, too.

Make money off a casino already doomed to fail by bringing in Mike Tyson, or make money off Chinese communists dooming the United States by bringing in your unemployed cokehead son.

Or spending casino money on hookers like Stormy Daniels and crashing and burning after trying to be like the NFL.

Interesting to hear some people going negative about casinos on here. The Genting trolls haven’t been doing their jobs lately. Nobody needs a downtown Miami casino.

We sure don’t want Trump running a country, casino downtown, the Dolphins, a University, corner store, sandwich shop, food truck, hot dog stand, etc, etc, etc…..
