La Centrale Italian Food Hall Opening At Brickell City Centre Soon (Photos)

Brickell City Centre’s La Centrale Italian food hall is opening within weeks, according to mall employees (construction signage was removed last week).

Spanning three levels and nearly 40,000 square feet, La Centrale is designed to become a gathering place, with restaurants, bars, cafes, and shopping.

It will open at 7am, and close at midnight (and wine is on the breakfast menu, see below).

I don’t know about $16 for a pasta, it is pretty steep.

Not really. $16.00 is what you’ll find at any medium end italian place. Its around those prices at Casa Tua hall and its seems to be doing well. I actually had a $16.00 pasta for lunch a few weeks ago there, it was fantastic and portion size was more than adequate.

For the demographic that will be going here $16.00 for a pasta is reasonable.

Yea I guess, just depends on the portion size.

How is referring to a city racist? lol Reaching much?

It’s the implied overtone. What demographic lives in Opa Locka?

Ways of putting things that aren’t directly racist, but have racist meanings… we all know this.

No, it literally means you can go to Opa Locka and get a soda for cheaper. Whats more confusing is that you mention the demographic of Opa Locka as if you can only be racist towards one race. Focus on fixing Opa Locka rather than the comments on an architecture blog. Place is literally bankrupt and you’re over here whining about a soda comment. lol

Opa Locka is a shithole anyway you paint it. Let’s just be honest.

I would expect to pay less at an Olive Garden, but at any respectable restaurant this is more than reasonable.

Yes, because we all know that BCC is in need of a game changer

The activity from the food hall will significantly impact the foot traffic in the mall

Will bring in a lot of people.. similar to Eataly in NYC & Boston.

Wow, just what BCC needed. Like there is no other Italian restaurant for miles. I wonder who did the market research on this brilliant concept.

If you think there is something comparable in the neighborhood, you don’t know what this is, and/or you don’t know the neighborhood.

Well there is that other Italian food hall in the same mall, Casa Tua……..

Love to see a Chipotle or something affordable.

Anonymous

I looked at their website and they have salads, sandwiches, and a lot of things in what seems like some chipotle-style concepts for well under $10 ??????

Ok, let me explain it to you. This area is Brickell, what that means is that everything is expensive, including rent. In order to have a successful business you need to make tons of cash and that comes by charging the public expensive prices and even then you are not guaranteed to stay in business. If you want Chipotle just drive down route 1, you will find it in areas that charge less for rent.

Plenty of well off people eat at Chipotle. What’s your problem?
