Legacy Miami Worldcenter Files Notice Of Commencement

Legacy Miami Worldcenter is officially getting underway, according to documents filed with Miami-Dade’s Clerk of Courts.

A Notice of Commencement was recorded on August 6 stating that some of the work now beginning includes demolition, earthwork, augercast piles, sheet piling, dewatering, waterproofing and cast-in-place foundations.

A separate Notice of Commencement was filed on the same day stating that construction on a new 50-story tower was underway.

Moss & Associates is listed as the contractor on both filings.

A formal groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Thursday.

The 50-story Legacy tower is planned to rise 681 feet above ground, or 691 feet above sea level, making it the second tallest at Worldcenter.

It will include 310 condo units, which are already 100% sold out. There will also be a hotel and medical wellness center.

A dramatic Singapore-inspired cantilevered pool and seven-story rooftop atrium will top the building, making it stand out in Miami’s skyline.

One Biscayne Tower has an antenna, not a spire. The Dade County Courthouse and Freedom Tower have spires.

Those renderings are unreal! Hope the public can access the atrium and use the pool, although I’m not holding my breath on pool access. Just stunning!!

This is not the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. Surely that pool IF and only IF it gets built would be for owners and residents.
Views are stunning!!!!

The public should be allowed to use your backyard for barbecues also.

They need to build a twin to this building, but about five to ten stories taller and facing the other way. That would look awesome!

That already means construction is starting. That means completion will be scheduled for 2023 or 2024. This means, those living at MWC will get an on-site hospital, including a pandemic ready facility with ventilators and more.

Hopefully not with ventilators. We were killing people with them in the early going.
