I think they should pay more attention to the city facing side of these towers with better design elements. Adding lighting to the back side of these towers is like putting lipstick on a pig.

No tower in the city should have a “back” side. They should have four sides with appropriate design. This concept of having a blank “back door” side with cheap “porch” lights that is the side of the building that 90% of the city sees is completely trashy and unacceptable.

Those blue LED’s are terrible for the neighborhood. They mess with your circadian rhythm if you enjoy waking up with the sunrise.

Also some studies are coming relating LED light to retinal damage…. Poor new generation that spend hours on computers, have artificial social life thru social media and are going to be blind by too much LED lights
I’m glad I’m in my seventies!

Beautiful City Atmosphere …… bringing a smile to this area 🙂

Not such a great atmosphere for their neighbors. This is light pollution. Can you imagine all those light in your window all night? They could’ve added some screening device to dim the lights.

Exactly. Or just wall in the entire rear exterior corridor instead of leaving it exposed. A blank wall would be better to look than a wall of fluorescent fire-escape lights. I feel terrible for the people with east facing units at Platinum right behind Biscayne Beach.

Hideous. A shame so many new buildings have this ugly back side.

There was already an issue in an adjacent Related building that opened about a year ago (I’m blanking on the name). They had to install dimmer lights on the City-facing backside.

Gotcha got mixed up. I thought you were referring to the views of the buildings and homes west of these towers
