58-Story SLS Lux Lights Up Miami Skyline

Exterior LED lighting is now undergoing testing at the under-construction SLS Lux in Brickell.

It is the fifth tallest tower under construction in Miami, at 58 stories and 648 feet above ground. Lighting on the Arquitectonica-designed tower can be seen for miles around, including to drivers on I-95.

The project will include a $22 million, 15,000-square-foot ground floor restaurant called Katsuya. Also on the ground floor will be a Joe & The Juice.

Closing are estimated to be in February 2018. There will be 78 condo-hotel units, with 450 residential condo units on the upper levels.

Arquitectonica is the architect. Related Group and The Allen Morris Company are the developers.

Centrust tower did not have any illumination feature until some years back when the lighting feature was added…it is a beauty but now with those colors is standout

They had illumination for decades.

Centrust was originally built with lighting, check wikipedia and the internet before thinking you know it all. It was lit for the first time in December 1985 before it was even occupied. The lighting was later changed to LED but even the original lighting was far more impressive than this silly thing, could have just put up a string of Christmas lights.

The lighting is not impressive or original but it does look nice and minimalist. There is nothing wrong with it. I actually like it. The blue hue is beautiful. I can tell you there are lots of cities across the U.S. wishing to have such a colorful, cool skyline.

How bright are these when inside? I think I would hate to have a bright blue light next to my window. This looks more appropriate for an office building.

I think they would look totally cool. Like a neon sign outside my window and when I don’t want to see it, just close my darkening shades and curtains. Some people just don’t know how to live in a city.
Move to suburbia!!!!!

It’s a better looking building than Solitair Brickell, but come on… What sort of lighting scheme is that?

Lighting the runway to an acid trip of a mural.

The gringo has a unit in the works here, I’m concerned about the product quality, this will be my 2nd Related product..I’m spoiled by the Swire BCC Reach Tower, hopefully it will be as polished as the marketing during our 2014 contract…

People talk so much crap about building design and beauty. This isn’t Dubai with unlimited budgets or governments trying to show off. This is a real building for real people in a nice area. It serves a purpose, like having a place to call home. The buildings looks very nice, sleek and clean. The darker colors make them stand out from the all white older buildings.

I can see them from my condo, I first noticed them yesterday, they look great. Not too dim and not too overpowering, well done.
