Over 150,000 attendees from all over the world enjoyed Ultra Music Festival this weekend, but the city gained much more exposure through a live broadcast of the event.
Statistics from Twitch.TV, which hosted a live stream of the event, show that there were more than 7 million views over the weekend. At one point, over 200,000 concurrent viewers were watching the feed.
This year, Ultra limited attendance to those over age 18, and arrests were down from previous years. There were reports that a visitor from Scotland was found dead at 79th and Biscayne, and a Canadian attendee was the victim of a hit-and run in North Miami.
