Lobbyist Registers To Represent Miami World Towers In Zoning Application

Miami World Towers LLC has hired a land use attorney to represent them during the development  approval process.

Javier Avino of Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod registered as a representative of the developer to work on their zoning application on July 31, city records show.

Miami World Towers LLC is controlled by developer Lalezarian Properties. The company has developed multiple projects in New York City.

Earlier this year, the developer paid $43 million for the 2.17-acre Block E at Miami Worldcenter, where zoning allows up to 2,500 residential units.

Restrictions on the deed prohibit Miami World Towers from some types of office and hotel development for a limited amount of time.

How many versions of a tower with undulating balconies does Arquitectonica have in their design drawer?

Sadly, they’re stuck in square towers with dancing balconies.
Although, this one is actually appealing for the area.

These buildings are ugly. They lack pizzazz. Its a real shame that one of the most forward thinking architecture firms of the 70s and 80s (The Babylon, The Palace, The Atlantis) now gives us this crap. Sad.

Not their fault, developers tell them to make the buildings cost effective. The developers don’t care, they line their pockets with tens of millions and ride off into the sunset making Miami an uglier place. (Most of the time).

Motwani is laughing all the way to the bank, you suckers. What was presented to the city planning commission and planning boards now can change. Why have any master plan when it’s only to be used for a very loose guideline. 1,000 units approved now becomes 2,000 units with an adjusted lobbyist assisted application. Required parking becomes ‘maybe parking’. How sweet it is…..
